If you are tuned into a "standard" width runway (45m say) and then fly an approach to a wider runway (60 m, eg), what effect does this have on visually assessing the correct glidepath? (All other parameters such as runway length being fixed)

I am not refering to judgement of height to flare but the visual picture on the approach.

Thanks for any help.

A wide runway of similar length to a narrow runway will give you the impression that you are low on approach, for much the same reasons that it may trick you into flaring high. Basically it looks the same from on slope as the narrow runway does from below slope.

Some other factors that have a similar effect are:

Short runway.
Runway with downslope.
Terrain sloping down to the runway threshold.
