Delta (still in bankruptcy protection) has pulled the contract in place with AC for C Check mtce on its 767s and 757s after failing to get further cost concessions. They believe they will be able to get a better deal with someone like HAECO.
This will shut two production lines at the YVR hangar. AC further plans to shut its own 767 line at the hangar and transfer the work to YUL. That leaves one production line.
700 of 1000 jobs will be lost.
YVR Ops Ctr will be even more of a ghost town. Look a tumbleweed.
