Hello, Looking for a farm strip near Billingshurst to fly my microlight from.

Looking for any ideas of help

A couple spring to mind.

Wellcross Grange/Farm near Slinfold, which I believe is up for sale at the moment(?)

Jackrells Farm airstrip, next to the A24 near to Southwater. This one is in Pooleys. There is also Ford airstrip nearby.

I believe there used to be an airstrip near to Wisborough Green. I don't know where though.

There's also a very small strip near Christs Hospital I believe... you can see it from the Horsham to B'Hurst train.

EDIT: If you follow the railway from B'Hurst to Horsham in google maps, I've spotted 2 - Barns Green and one further south. There should be one on the other side as well somewhere.

That is probably Wellcross, Slinfold, it's right next to the railway and Christ's Hospital.

Hey Chaps.

Thanks for your help. Wellcross farm is indeed up for sale at the moment. I have tried Jackrells farm but they are full up at the moment.

I have been offered a local field to use but the farmer wants £60 a month from me.

Any ideas of the going rate and does £60 seem a fair rate.

Hi , there is a strip south of Billinghurst, and east of the railwayline, just seen it from the air, also a strip at Kirdford.

There also used to be one on the top of the Downs just above Washington. Don't know if it is still there?
