View Full Version : Hiring a C150/152 near Newport, Wales?

I am in Newport, Wales for a couple of weeks (until 16 March) and was wondering if there is a club anywhere near here where I could hire a C150/152 for a local jolly (after a checkride of course). I have a PPL. I am a member of a club up north, but am not familiar with what's available around here. Would be happy to become a temp member if required.

Someone told me that there is a club at Cardiff Airport? Any info appreciated.

Thanks.

Don't know of any that hire C150's, but you could try:

Cardiff academy of aviation at (not surprisingly ;) Cardiff (http://www.cardiffacademyofaviation.co.uk/), or

Aeros at Gloucester or Filton (http://www.aeros.co.uk/)

My a/c's based at a strip just outside Newport, WX permitting, got a free seat this saturday if you're interested.

Just wanting to say a big thank you to Mariner9 who took me up in his Pioneer 300 on Saturday. We flew all across Wales to Caernarfon (where we stopped for a Bacon Buttie), via Llandudno and back again to near Newport.

It was brilliant! I'll try to post a couple of photos.

Thanks again!!
