Hello all. I am holder of a JAR CPL IR SEP land with aero towing rating without inflight pickup and LR theory credit in the licence as well as ATP theory and MCC not entered in the licence as formerly converted from ICAO frozen ATPL into a JAR document … but I have those courses made successfully…
Due to several reasons I would like to convert my commercial pilot licence with IR credit into a Canadian one ASAP.
Unfortunately I had no success yet with a similar enquiry at the Canadian CAA´s regarding this! (Transport Canada)
My questions asked there were:
a) How much is gaining a Canadian CPL IR basing on a German JAR CPL IR whilst fully maintaining one´s entries (SB(A), LR, etc.)?
b) Do the Canadian CAA officers offer – like when flying in the U.S. as a German citizen or like when flying in Luxembourg (until 2004) - only an endorsement basing on a German JAR licence that has to be kept upright or (with respective valid CND medical) will an independent CPL be edited, so that I could theoretically forfeit the JAR CPL Germany?
c) Where can I perform such an evtl. conversion? Only in CND or are there (in Germany / Switzerland / Austria) „CAA – outlets“ that offer (like the FAA in GERMANY does offer biannual flight reviews) CPL theory + IFR theory + CPL IR practical tests / check flights?
d) Question out of interest: With how many hours on what kind of aircraft do I gain my CND ATPL (not frozen) … (now 535 hrs TT on SEP land, amongst them a 100 ifr pic or picus and 335 pic total)?
e) how „dedicated to customer service (friendliness, competence, expedition, etc.) are the CND CAA guys? I am used to bad treatment in Germany …
f) How difficult are CPL IR check rides in CND in comparison to the German JAR ones?
g) Where to gain theory study material for CPL IR Conversion CN?
h) where to gain information on the validity period(s) and renewal intervals of CND LIC + ratings?
What are the most important CND newbie advices on flying in CND?

Ich möchte meine Lizenz aus diversen Gründen in eine CND - CPL IR wandeln.
Leider hatte ich keinen Erfolg mit der Anfrage diesbezüglich bei der zuständigen CAA, der "Transport Canada".
Meine Fragen waren:
a) was kostet der Erwerb einer Canadian CPL IR basierend auf German JAR CPL IR unter Beibehalt aller Einträge (SB(A), LR, etc.)?
b) bieten die Kanadier wie beim Fliegen mit PPL in den USA oder beim Fliegen bis 2004 in Luxembourg nur ein Endorsement basierend auf einer aufrecht zu erhaltenden JAR - LIC an oder wird (mit entsprechendem gültigen Medical) eine unabhängige CPL IR erstellt, so dass ich theoretisch die JAR CPL Deutschland verfallen lassen könnte?
c)wo kann ich die Konvertierung machen? Nur in Kanada oder gibt es in D - A - Schweiz irgendeinen CAA - Canada - Außenposten, der wie die FAA in Frankfurt, Deutschland die von dort aus FAA - Flight Reviews etc. durchführt, mir die CPL - Theorie IFR etc. abnehmen kann.
