In the descent recently we experienced vibration through the control column which was quite pronounced and lasted at least 2 or 3 mins. The aircraft was a kingair. We were doing about 180kts IAS and not in any icing conditions.

Was quite alarming while it lasted and I have no idea what could have caused it, we were not going very fast and had not picked up any ice during the flight at all.

Anybody have any ideas?

A while back, we were descending in a 747-2 when the yoke started a high frequency vibration.

It dampened out as we slowed and mentioned it to the mechanic on the ground.

Post flight inspection revealed an open panel on the #3 eng nacelle.

How that translated to the yoke, I have no idea, but on the next leg there was no more vibration so I have to believe that was the cause.

Obviously, I'd suggest a thorough post flight inspection in such cases

Best,
z.

Please tell me that the aircraft doesn't have stall warning installed;)
