hi all,
i have tried asking around for this and have read through some of the old manuals that the co. have given us but i'm still confused with one thing about the wx radar(collins WXR-700X).when we have put STAB to ON on the wx radar panel, and then when you manipulate the tilt angle on the wx radar..does it refer to the horizon or aircraft attitude?please forgive my ignorance..:O

The Wx Radar Antenna is referenced to horizontal and vertical against the reference source, VG, INS, IRS, whatever is available, in the case of the 734, if the ageing cells recall, IRS. This is therefore the horizon as displayed on the ADI or whatever you want to call it. Tilt is direct variation of that.
