Please excuse my ignorance...
Im looking at some Jepp canadian approach plates, and am struggling to understand the visibility minima.
For example, CYHZ ILS RWY 23 CAT I, with the full lighting system available it says RVR26 OR 1/2.
My thinking, and please please, correct me if Im wrong is that its 1/2 statute mile? But im stumped by the RVR units?
Finally there are JAA minimums pages, where for the same approach mentioned above, its lists the vis minima as R26 V1/2.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Many thanks
