Sopwith 2 seater in Fareham

I went to Currys just outside Fareham today and was very surprised to see a Sopwith 11/2 strutter 2 seater sitting in a front garden about 2 doors down (Southampton Road), I thought at first it was a mock up but on closer inspection it seems to be the real thing! Looks a little sorry for itselfat the moment - does anyone know any more?

OK, but what is is doing in a front garden in Fareham? Is it about to be restored or is it just a replacement for a missing garden gnome?:confused:

Believed to be a garden gnome, how would I know, knock on his door and ask him, he must get a lot of enquiries!:p
