What do you think would be preferable for a Yank seeking contract employment in Asia, preferably SE?

A) Loads of turboprop PIC plus 1000 or so CRJ-200/700 PIC
or
B) Loads of turboprop PIC plus 1000 or so 737 or 320 SIC

turboprop time is all in a 12000kg / 26000lb aircraft

TT +/- 7000

B is the correct answer. Lots more 737 and 320 jobs in Asia than CRJ jobs:cool:

Would agree with a lot more 737 & A320 jobs but you are more employable in SE Asia with the CRJ Command than a FO on a 73 or Bus.
Check out the agency websites or Apply to some of the new carriers in HK:) once you get the time.

Well saight Rider, I can only support that message, China has a long way to go in a lot of areas. To have the largest population in the world means not you can treat and cheat as you like. Aviation will grow and the word spread around as well where is a good place to go and where a bad.

Fly safe and land happy

Starskate:

How can discussions progress to a job offer with so many questions un-answered?

Go back to the employing party and pose the questions, if they have to waffle on the terms, you'll know that all is not well and you better wait till the situation becomes clear.

Approach it like you would plan a flight, get the information you need, analyze it and then make an informed decision.

All the best.
