Just a quick question of something that came to mind the last time I was flying. And please feel free to correct me if I am wrong with anything. I was just wondering that most airlines seem to keep row 1 d-f for passengers that require assistance. Now, how can they do that when all of row 1 is an emergency row, and I would swear the ANO says that only physically able people are allowed to occupy these rows?

PS: Sorry if this is in the wrong forum

we tend not to put people there who would not be able to assist in an emergency and maybe move them into that row during the flight for more comfort, but certainly not allowed to sit there for take off and landing

Thanks for your reply. I'll not name the airline I was with, but it was free seating, all except that section. Anyone that needed assistance was pre-boarded and put on those seats, and kept there for the duration. It just got me wondering, when we had the 2 secs on "Now, you're sitting in an emergency row...".
