There has been rumours around and im going to stress rumours that there have been talks of shutting down or selling off the canadian division. Could this news mean that Zoom Canada could soon disapear with the opening of Zoom UK. After all the flying that zoom canada does could be done from the Uk.

This airline is going nowhere. It's people in companies like Skyservice and Transat that would only wish that Zoom would disappear. These people have nothing better to do with there time than start bulls**t rumours about Zoom and people like you are nothing more than classless for believing them and posting it on websites like these. Have some respect for the industry and keep garbage like that to yourself and respect other companies for doing a great job.

Z4, with the serial entrepreneur, Boyle, at the helm, with his RBS cash injection, is going no-where. Correct. Whether Boyle (a Scot by birth) would move ops to the east of the Pond is an interesting debate, and one we should have. Doubt it makes fiscal sense.
The well-known inconsistent and sometimes tatty inflight service up-front needs fixing - and yes, we know it's not full "J", but nevertheless, still a disgrace at $1200+ for a fare booked 12 days in advance...but STN was convenient for the wife and her girlie friends.
Now, ask me about Club Transat....biased, undoubtedly...
PS It is a rumour network. CPR is not usually necessary...but a nerve has been touched...something to do with KL maintenance issues on 76s perhaps ?

Alwayscold.......calm down it was a question not a statement which wasnt meant to ruffel any feathers. Truth is there are rumours about every company fact of life.
After all the flying that zoom canada does could be done from the Uk.
I doubt that shutting down the Canadian op in favour of the UK would be a non starter due the much higher salery costs in the UK.

Agreed Doo. Won't make sense at all for a whole host of reasons.
Boyle and Globespan's Dalrymple are hard at it, carving some niches out there, in their own enterpreneurial ways....
The regional UK market to the Great White North is a lucrative one, and achieves nice loads through summer, the same in winter, with reduced and combined services. Now AC is gone from the Scottish scene, the grannie and grandad run is basically the preserve of Z4 and TS.
Now, there is a whole bunch of rumour out there about the direction Eustache will take with AT, and the upcoming fleet decisions....
Who wants to start off the debate ?

Replace the A330, A310 with B767-300/400 and order brand new 787.
After the Westjet contract is over...buy 737-800
