Hi, does anyone have information about the technical problems Lufthansa flight 502 from Frankfurt to Sao Paolo faced on July 30th? According to official reports, they detected some problem with the landing gear over France and returned to Frankfurt. Then, according to those report, the plane was repaired and took off again in the morning on Aug 1st. However, some friends of mine were on board this plane, and they reported that the accident happened over Spain and they suffered some loss of pressure due to a small hole caused by a piece of covering which was lost during takeoff. Then they slowly returned to Frankfurt and could see a small hole in the plane. Ground staff urged them to move forward and gave no further information. Furthermore, thwy assured me that the flight in the morning was with another plane. This is what makes me somewhat perplex - it seems the official reports do not tell the truth. Thus, I'd be grateful if anyone could give me more information on this! Thanks and best regards Rupf
