BA6853 from Crete to LGW diverted to Dubrovnik this afternoon - " a bit fell off the left wing" according to a text from my daughter's friend. Now awaiting another aircraft.
Anything known?

The flight number you mention is operated by GB Airways I think,.......

I can assure you that nothing fell off the wing at all. It was simply a precautionary landing into DBV after a crack appeared in an outer pane of the windshield. The passengers and cabin crew were returned to London on a different aircraft and the A320 in question was ferried back to London empty this morning. No drama, no fuss.
