Anyone happen to know if there is a suitable landing ground for typical light aircraft in the vicinity of Ben Nevis (Scotland)?

Thanks for any help.

A bit of a tall order, this one.
I vaguely recall there may be a strip at or near Fort Augustus.
Whether this still exists, I'm not sure.
Get Googling.

There was a proposal being touted quite recently for establishing a strip at Fort William. IIRC it would be somewhere between the distillery and the loch shore. I've not heard of any developments.

Otherwise, I guess, Oban or Plockton are your best bets.

Feshiebridge might be nearer (gliding strip with a lovely grass runway I hear)

Fort Augustus strip is still in existence on the south east side of the town half way up the hillside. A windsock appears occasionally but there are sometimes sheep on the strip.

Used by the owner of Glendoe Estate with his Cessna 182.

Oban is probably safer and not too far away.

Easier to get near BN if you have a floatplane!
