Out of interest, did you ever fly a Sunderland? My Grandfather was radio/nav officer on them during the war.

AerBabe:

I don't know when I will be back in England, I retired from the training stuff in April of this year, however I may be over just to visit.

The guys from Holland are taking over on the training and ferrying stuff for me.

It is nice to know that if nothing else I left a very capable group of pilots to help keep the PBY's flying.

If you want to get a ride in their Cat, that can be arranged..

May see you again some day, one never knows what will transpire in this business.

Standard PPL stuff. I have about 500 hours. I currently own and fly an aerobatic Beech C23 Sundowner 180. Previously owned: Beech 77 Skipper, PA28-140, C150. Rented/flew 172s, 150s, 152s and PA28-181.

96 types, ain't adding up the numbers!

Most recent flying mostly in a Beech BE23, Piper PA28-161, Stinson S108-2, Thruster TST and Southdown Raven-X. No order of importance or preference intended. (Actually, the Stinson is making me work hardest, and the Raven the least, so those are probably my current favourites).

I confess I'm looking towards my 100th type and hoping to make it something particularly interesting, but not sure what. Anybody know where I might get a trial lesson in an airship?
