Suggest me a plan

Hi there.
im a newly released Capt. on 737 Ng & Classics working with an Indian Regional Airline (I am an Indian Citizen). Have about 2800 TT on the Boeing 737 efis and ng. Im 25 right now and wish to put in 3 years in a distance education program for my BSc Av.
As you might be aware things are really looking up in India as far as Airline Jobs are concerned right now. but dont know how long it'll last.
My g/f is a canadian citizen. After marriage we do intend to spend some years in India. But sometime in the future would love to immigrate to canada.
Can anyone give me a tip as to when to push the first application to Air Canada? Whats the best Age? How much is good experience on B737 in command? will they let me join direct capt or trainee capt. on airbus320 or p2 and work my way up for command?
Would be great if you could answer any of these ques....thanx cheers.

Air Canada does not hire direct entry captain. Its all seniority so you would start as a first officer on either an Embraer 170 or A320 for a long....long...time :} Unlike India, most FOs at Air Canada have more than 2800TT jet. Captains generally have anywhere between 11,000Hrs and up at AC. Best of luck to you.

Much the same at Westjet - you would start as an 737 NG First Officer and should plan on 5 years minimum to to upgrade. Our new hires are still coming aboard with over 4000 hours TT on average.

No North American airline will hire you as DEC.

try the Middle East or Asian airlines after 5000TT as DEC, why are you worried plenty of jobs in India for NG Capts.....

Look at the IATA web site for Aviation Management Diploma highly recomended and approved world wide.

Emirates I believe is looking for at least 8000TT with command on "heavy" time

well this was wat i was expecting but just wanted to confirm. with a gazillion pilots roaming around the great big continent of N.America, (military, bush piots, seaplane pilots, etc etc etc) i dont think any airline there will have the requirement for DEC.
And as far as the gulf is concerned, id better stay put in good ol' Motherland as a first class citizen and drawing pretty decent payscales than go to the desert and for a few dollars more be a 2nd grade citizen flying on work permit.....
Just wanna pray then that the Indian Boom Story is not just another great indian Rope Trick (:) but actually something that lasts for some time.
