Hi, I'm Fabrizio from Rome, I work for an Airline company as F/O on BAe 146, and I have the italian CPL ! I did a week ago the Proficiency/qualification check with a british Jaa TRE
in Woodford(Manchester), and he couldn't sign my licence !Now I'm in Rome and Enac wants the
"TRE authorisation" of this british Guy to do my new Jar licence with the
latest IR expiration...
Now...how can I have/check the list of all british authorized Jaa examiners ?
Or just receive the "TRE authorization" of this guy via fax...or e-mail...

thanks

You need to get in contact with the TRE and ask them to send you a copy of their TRE authorisation.

Some places require;

Company approval,

TRE approval and

Sim approval

to be copied and included with the application.

If all they are asking for is the TRE approval then you are getting off light! :)

DFC

Bliss,
Why couldn't he sign your licence?
As a JAA TRE he should have been able to handle all the paperwork on the day........ All you should need is his signature with his JAA TRE and sim number entered on the correct, completed form (CAA 1158 I think).
I'm a TRE and have so far not found any problems with doing checks for other JAA pilots.
As DFC says though other states may need extra details.............:)

Edited for spelling !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why couldn't he sign your licence?

Perhaps because he holds an italian CPL !

If he held a JAA licence at the time of the check no problemo but a national licence would require a national TRE (who may also be JAA)!?!

Thanks for your reply :)

...I gave to ENAC everything apart from the "document/authorization" which states that the british guy is really an authorized jaa examiner...I miss his own "document"....but I don't know how to get contact with him...I know his surname...tried to call the training center but no answer :( ......

I'm a TRE and have so far not found any problems with doing checks for other JAA pilots. You have clearly led a rather sheltered life since being authorised, then. There are a number of JAA member states whose national law requires that all entries in licences are made by the NAA and not by the individual TRE. And just what use do you suppose a CAA form would be in getting a type rating entered on an Italian issued licence??

bliss177 - You must, somehow, obtain from the TRE who conducted the test a copy of his letter of authorisation. Keep calling BAe at Woodford - they haven't gone out of business......yet.

Billie,
What a terrible attitude, why the heavy sarcasm - I'm very glad I don't work with you. :ouch:
Of course there are a number of JAA countries that require a national TRE and also need national paperwork BUT in the absence of these its better to have at least some documentation rather than none at all - as is the case we're talking about here..........
