Hi folks,

Just a quickie...

Do any instructors have loss of licence cover? I recall having loss of licence cover during my training with Traffords so therefore assume that once I become employed as an FI that I become eligable again?

Cheers for any views.

Be careful with wording on LoL cover as the CAA tend now not to "pull" your license, just suspend it - so technically you have not lost your license and some insurance companys are using this as a loophole!

Nothing suprises me about insurance companies!

Done an archive search and it appears AOPA did a liability insurance but no mention of LoL.... Might give Traffords a call.

What, if any, insurance do you guys take out?

VFE,
I've got my LoL insurance through BALPA at a fairly reasonable rate.
Covers you for loss due to medical grounds and has an inclusion for suspension of licence (so long as it is for more than 6 months).
Hope this helps.
