Hi everyone,
In some major apt of EU I've heard taxi instruction "taxi to holding position RWY XX". According to Doc CAP 413 "taxi to holdind point RWY XX" is still correct. Any other documents regulating this issue?

Strictly speaking, holding point is situated on the twy nearest to beggining of the runway and holding position is used with twy identifier to mark proper intersection take-off position. In real life I've heard both used indiscriminately.

ICAO phraseology is 'holding position', but the UK have an exemption, so here the correct phraseology is 'holding point'. This was done to prevent any confusion between 'taxi to holding position runway xx' and 'taxi into position and hold runway xx' which they use in the USA and means a completely different thing.
