I am planning an IFR trip to France on Friday or Saturday, probably to a major location like Bordeaux. Does anybody know whether GA flights are affected by this action which one reads about?

Airline chief blasts 'lazy frogs'

Services have twice been grounded in France in the past week
A furious airline boss has blasted the French as "lazy frogs" after protests disrupted services to the UK.

See http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/bradford/4874720.stm for the rest ;)

French strikes never happen on Fridays or Saturdays, unless it's a particularly busy holiday weekend. You will not have any problems.

I knew that anyone who's pride and joy is a gleaming DH Dragon Rapide* can't be all bad! Too right, Mr Meeson, and ignore the humorless pretendy-politicians from the rubber-stamp European parliament who have never done anything useful in their lives.

Well acording to Bart Simpson !

Flying VFR in France during a strike is a pleasure ATC don't bother you but they do man the radio for safety reasons.

For the private VFR piot it is not a problem but at work I have to go via some point 200 miles south of Shannon to get to Malaga !
