On sept 5th, the one world cockpit coalition showed its support for LanChile´s pilot union as it readies to face negotiation late in November. The company has started its usual, but this time more dreadful, tactics by handing over Lan Chile routes to its cargo operation, that is not unionized. Furthermore, its offering unionized pilots money and promotions to Lan Express (a non union subsidiary of the company). The union is maintaining its posture with plenty of solidarity among its members and most recently a work to rule. Hang-tough guys!

As your 767 buddy, Capt "Stuka" had mentioned on an earlier post, Lan Chile pay (equivalent of USD 4500/month) after 13 years of faithful service is disgraceful, given the company's success story. Stay tough in your negotiations and fly safe.
