Evening PPRUNE,

i was working in Bolton today, just south-east of winter hill. The ROSUN hold is just north-east of us, i witnessed a Thomas Cook A330 performing a right hand racing course pattern early morning, minutes later she left the hold turning eastwards with vectors to 24L/R, i then saw the Delta 763 from Atlanta passing from west to east (it was parallel with winter hill, most likley being vectored to final. The question is is that track a common vector routing? because hours later i then saw another A330 tracking the same course as the Delta, the DL 763 seemed unusually low well under 5,000. I also witnessed other aircraft performing a race course pattern adjacent(eastward) to the one the TC AA30 was performing, which hold is the standard?

Ive just been looking at recent ROSUN charts i cannot see any tracks that the Delta could of been on, so it must of been a vector?

Hope you guys can help,

many thanks

Delta aircraft probably being vectored off the MIRSI hold. Not sure about other observations.
