Rumour has it Skyservice will not be serving Ireland this summer and TS has already jacked up the prices. Can anyone confirm this?

Stupid f*cking bilateral screwing us expat micks from getting year round service due Shannon protectionism so it was good to have three airlines keeping each other (somewhat) honest.

From what Ive heard Skyservice will not be operating to BFS again this year. Could be wrong though. Hasnt been any word of it being part of the summer program.

While TS may have purchased all of the seats, the flight number will be 5G5075 (a Skyservice flight number).

Just heard that Sky Service has laid off 20 guys. Any truth to this? Seems a strange time of the year for furloughs?

I don't think they were laid off. I heard they were hired by Air Canada!

The layoffs thankfully have been averted. Also, summer is always a weak time for Skyservice, so if it's going to happen, it will be during the summer.
