This is a bit late to ask but does anyone know about flight delays/cancellations caused by some action in the French ATC on 7th March.
The reason I'm asking is I was talking to some friends last night and asked if they had enjoyed their holiday last week. It turned out they hadn't gone because their (Easyjet) flight to Alicante from Bristol was cancelled on that date with French ATC problems being given as the cause of the cancellation. They did say though that there WERE some flights to Alicante which were departing as normal, from other airlines.
Since there are different levels of compensation for different causes of delay (Act of God versus airlines incompetence) and being a suspicious and cynical sort of person it makes me wonder if an excuse other than the actual reason was given so I said I would make an enquiry.
