Heard from APAAD ( American Pilots against age Discrimination) that although tabling Nov 06 for conference on increasing the age limit from 60 to 65 for Captains of international 'heavy' aircraft, on March 11th ICAO met and passed a resolution to increase the limit. France and USA voted against despite a Senate subcommittee recommending US compliance in the event of an ICAO resolution.

For some, long serving staff it may be a luxury.

For those with less than 10 years or so it means having to find another job to support their family, pay the bills etc.

Not as easy as it sounds...
