Ladies and Gents,
Please let me start with a little explanation.
Settle in your beautiful country (2000)> Canadian PPL(2001)> Wife gave birth to first son:ok: (2002)> Better get a proper job!!> Fly(££££)> Moved back to U.K> Oxford APP sponsorship > Dash 8 First Officer....I have everything I have ever wanted, BUT..
We just want to come back to Canada. I have nearly 700hrsTT (400 on DHC8). fzATPL.
We will be back eventually. I follow the industry in Canada closely, so I am aware that flying something similar with my experience (lack of) is unlikely however, I just want to fly. I have been checking out the requirements for my conversion. Sounds like it will be more straight forward if I actually unfreeze my ATPL here and then come home
Any advice/comments would be great
Cheers.
I should explain the Title. Someone in a past response to a thread suggested that Europeans are whores:oh: . If this view is shared by too many canucks I don't expect too many replies.

well for starters don't count on your oxford app credentials. over here oxford isn't well known and to put it gently...no one really a gives a **** where you trained. they care about your time. my advice....for what its worth.....stay in europe for about another year. try to aim for that 1500 TT which would give you about 1200 on the dash and unfreeze your fatpl. it would be better to aim for 2000TT but 1500 TT might cut it. than once you have your canadian conversion done you shouldn't have too many problems finding work on the dash or b1900 of some sort. depending on your education (university, college) and languages you might even be able to slide into one of the airlines like ac, jazz, westjet ect. all depends how strong the hiring wave continues for the near future. ac hasn't even started their hiring BLITZ and already alot of jobs are opening...for low timers...but if there's another 911 or.....you get my drift. anything can happen.

anyways
best of luck to you
cheers

The fish & chips are better in the UK (if thats even possible) ...however if you still insist on worse English style 'cuisine' :yuk: (if that's even possible) by returning to Canada...now is a better time than ever. Look for Porter Airlines in the fall.

:ok: G' luck
