Guys i am sure this question must have ben asked a few times before so apologies in advance.

I am a Cabair student in the latter stages of an integrated course and am seriously considering beginning a FI course once i have completed my training.

I have 2 questions that i need answering, firstly can anyone recommend any good schools around the Huddersfield area (commuting to Manchester/Leeds/Bradford etc wouldnt be a problem) and secondly what are the prospects for gaining employment once i have completed the FI course.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Well, as for gaining work post employment, you have picked the best time of year. Busiest time of year for an FI is the summer so most schools are always looking for people during the summer. Coupled with the winter time usually being the recruitment time for airlines, this will help free up even more instructing positions.

As for training organisations in your area, try

Multiflight - Leeds
Manchester Advanced Flight training - Barton Aerodrome
St George Flight Training - Teeside.
Leeds flying School - eer leeds funnily enough

Leeds Flying School train PPLs out of Sandtoft Nr Doncaster, so to work for them you would have to be there?

They do do FIC at the base in Leeds though.
