Took me a while to understand why they use the IATA prefix of 'LS' and then realised that it is the postcode for Leeds and they are/were a Leeds based company!!
By the way, am I right in thinking that Air Malta's code of 'KM' relates to Knights of Malta?

The use of LS pre-dates Jet 2 operations at Leeds .. .by very many years.
