Anyone got any info about this or good, small grass strips to visit? Do they even exist?

Mrs QDM wishes to go and spend some time in Sicily in the next year and I might be persuaded if I can fly the aircraft down and base it there for a while.

Forget it ! a corrupt banana republic that will rip you off with £100 landing fees and charges for services that you never get, the place is more like darkest Africa than part of Europe.

Doesn't sound very good, but then one finds places like this at the foot of Etna:

Must be OK? Or not? I try to stay clear of anything with tarmac anyway.

The hotel is expensive but very good. There are also mini self catering cottages right on the field
