What is a JAR 25 aircraft?

can a turboprop multi turbine such as LET-410 Turbolet or EMB-120 Brasilia be a JAR 25 airplanes ?
Or it must be a jet aircraft +MTOM 5,7 ton+ MCC+ pressurized cabin?
I have searched in JAA and EASA web sites but could not find any information for these aircrafts.

Can some one help me please?

Thank you

Part 25 (JAR/FAR) are two sets of very similar design and certification standards.

The simple answer to your question is, if it is certificated to Part 25 then it is a Part 25 aircraft.

The test, for example with FAR 25, is to check the FAA TCDS (http://www.airweb.faa.gov/Regulatory_and_Guidance_Library/rgMakeModel.nsf/MainFrame?OpenFrameSet) for the particular aircraft .. is the aircraft listed there ?

So, for instance, the EMB-120 is a Part 25 (http://www.airweb.faa.gov/Regulatory_and_Guidance_Library/rgMakeModel.nsf/0/EC4FE07E5F658F7786256DF100524CF5?OpenDocument&Highlight=emb-120) certification.

If I recall correctly there are some links to JAR data in the tech log URL sticky.

And search on the archives for this forum, and you'll find no end of discussion and definition of the subject.

JAR-25 effectively no longer exists since is cross-referred to the EASA document:

CS-25 Certification Specifications for Large Aircraft.

If you need some serious bedtime reading, you can view the document at:
