SAS management have personal stock in most of the Leasing Companies that own the SAS Airplanes. The old MD 80's used by SAS Denmark and SAS Sweden are leased back for a high sum of money, more than a new 737 from an independent serious Leasing Company.
This way the top heavy SAS Group gives its management a serious extra pay valued at several million dollars a year.
The top heavy company in this way burns up its assets, and the SAS Airline looses money, while again, the Leaders get away with it. It is comparable with what happened at Swissair, Sabena and Enron.
