All of my other programmes involving sound work fine - SKYPE, CD player - it's just any programme requiring Windows Media doesn't let me hear anything. The visual is okay.
Can someone more technical minded than me offer a solution, please?
(I downloaded media player 10 today, but still no difference.)

Thank you. :)

It's often the hairware that let's you down! I went as far as getting new drivers & reinstalling my sound card because of one channel sound until I realised I had the balance control turned to the left. Took three days to work that one out!:{

I can fantasize (or should that be empathise...or sympathize) with you, PP.
The sound card was my first suspect :cool: and that was why I decided to try a CD and SKYPE - don't know if the logic is right there, but I figured that because they were working okay, it must be the errrr...the ummm...time to call the pprune team ;)

Oh well, at least I've got the latest update of Windows MP10 installed.

They say it's usually the simple things that cause the problems, and I think I qualify as that! :ugh:
