Hi,

I am rebuilding an old french wood plane an Emeraude CP301A. The wings are almost finished and I wonder if somebody can answer or give me a clue where I can find the following information:

What is the balancing moment of the aileron?

Any information will be of help.

Thank you

Best Regards

'Pilot mag' popped out of 'Google' with an email link to another "Emeraude CP301A" enthusiast. Have you been there?

Thank you BOAC. I can not see the link you speak about.
i can find the forum of Pilot magazine and Pilot web, but nothing about emeraude. I wonder if you can be so kind to post the direct link.
I have done a goggle search of the matter without success.

Plans are available for many of Claude Piel's designs.
In the UK, many of them are operated on a Permit to Fly under the auspices of the PFA.
The PFA engineering department may be able to help with sources of plans and engineering information.
I believe there is also a Yahoo e-mail group which covers these aircraft, and maybe a good source of knowledge.

Also try www.eaa.org - they are very helpful in guiding builders & restorers to good data.
