Does the IRS groundspeed automatically reset to zero after engine shutdown? I seem to recall that this will happen after 2 minutes.

Almost correct. It's not depending on engine shutdown, but on aircraft stop - valid for A319/321 and the newer builds of the A320:

The GS check must be performed 2 min following airplane stop. After this delay the ADIRS automatically resets the GS.

Many thanks. I take it that the application of the park brake initiates this?

Didn't think that reply through before posting. However the only ref I can find is in FCOM Vol 3--SOPs. The ground speed check must be performed within two minutes following engine stop. (G/S reset to zero after 2 minutes)

Carefull guys

This is only the case if the aircraft is fitted with Litton ADIRU's. Our fleet is all Honeywell....and they don't reset.

Down Three Greens is totally correct.

I didn't think my reply through either and was not specific enough. It's the Litton ADIRS that resets after 2 mins (fitted on all our A319/321 and newer A320), while the Honeywell ADIRS does not reset the GS.
