Hi Folks,

Does anyone know if Flyjet have received their B-767-200ER a/c yet? If so what routes has the a/c been rostered to operate on?

Many Thanks.

Globalwarming,

Firstly there is no such thing as Chapter 11 in the UK. That means we all survive by making money and not taking huge state handouts.

Secondly you have no idea of the contractual arrangements in place for this so I most certainly will not be reading your ever so wise lips.

Good luck none the less. The reference to Chapter 11 was a figurative.

As you say....in the UK you can't write cheques your butt can't cash!

Word has it that the management v owners squabble means that the business future is grim. This wouldn't be the first time that the Aspro's have done a runner, :}
I would take some convincing to pitch a B767 in that config with Netjets for example :E

Kendoll, dont know who you are but you are very offensive. Global was wishing you good luck and I dont think he works with you, so beware as the Mod's might just squish you for offensive posting. Try Jetblast !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't get your hopes up.

The 767 has about as much chance of arriving this time around as England have of winning the World Cup. It's possible but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for it.

The new flights down to Cameroon look to have fallen over before they've even properly started and the only flying happening seems to be the odd Santa flight to Lapland and the Ovdah flight every week. It is hardly enough to keep two 75s running, but I suppose one has been doing very little "running" recently anyway after someone "ran" into it.

This airline will need one enormous tailwind to make it through the very long remaining part of the winter to reach next summer. Aspros are not putting any more money in and the search for other money-men is proving difficult.

Fly First Class ........ Flyjet .......... B767-200 ........ 94 pax ........ 11 Flight Attendants ................ Sounds good. I sincerely hope its a winner for you.

I just hope that their service will be better than their home-made 'FrontPage' style website.

If you sell a premium product, the website should reflect it. I think Eos have got it right. They realised that you cannot spend all your money just on an aircraft, but that you also need funds to market the service.

Perhaps Flyjet should operate this 90 seater to West Africa. At least their pax would be able to take 100 kgs of baggage each. :ok:

I heard that the config of the 767 will not be all first class, but 16 business class seats and 230 (i think) economy seats. I think this is more realistic. ;)

Fly_146 - On 14th Dec Astraeus used a B737-700 to operate a round-trip from Douala (DLA) in Cameroon to London Gatwick (LGW) UK.

Astraeus' next round-trip flight between the two cities (outbound from LGW 17th Dec & arriving back at LGW 19th Dec), will be using one of its B757-200 aircraft.

Rumours abound about many carriers, wherein one hopes that everything turns out well for all concerned.

During my 767 training we were told that for the first few months the aircraft will be configured to have 16 in business class and 215 ish in economy. This will be while the aircraft has something called a 'shakedown'. I think this is to make sure we as crew can work well with the aircraft and make changes to the service etc if things don't go to plan. Anyway after that it will be reconfigured to a 3 class cabin with only 96 pax in total and a mid galley installed.
