Hi all,

I'm wondering if some of you pilots could help us.
We are adjusting the ground model of our sim (X-Plane). Doing so, we have a bit of a problem finding
data on Breakaway thrust (thrust needed to overcome static friction in the gear - to get the acf moving/taxi).

What approx N1 is required to get YOUR aircraft moving on the ground (from 0 kts - breakaway, still to taxi)?
I need Acf type, N1, weight(LO, NOM, HI)

e.g
B757, N1 30%, HI

Would help us alot :O

Cheers,

M

Well, on level surface, a 733 empty = 22% N1 (almost idle), at MTOW = 33% N1.

Hope that helps - brgds fm

Thank you VERY much for that detailed information:O
You just made X-Plane a better sim!

FYI, the static friction coefficient on your 733 is
about Cf = 0,028. Or put in other word, about
3% of your Gross weight is need to get your acf
to breakway:ok:
