Not sure if this is the correct forum, (to timid to enter the military one) . Can anyone enlighten me what type of aircraft flew over west Edinburgh about 2.35pm this afternoon? I think he/she took a few of my roof tiles with them!:D . Thanks in advance.

As mentioned above 2 tornado's from Leucars doing a flypast of Murrayfield for the Scotland v New Zealand game. Told us beforehand exactly what time they wanted to be over the Ground and hit their mark exactly, 30 seconds AFTER the kick off.
Hmm think it might have been a Scottish ploy to shock the All Black defence and apparently nearly worked. They may have the Haka but we have F1's!

No point Bright-Ling. Only told us they were tornado's and thats what went on strip ( as Icao designator doesnt differentiate between types) Was working on the ground floor so missed the airfield fly past. Take it they were GR4's then?

Isn't the F1 a Mirage?

A mirage? If that's the case those Grand Prix drivers sure do run around that track really fast.

Doh!
Completely right of course Bright-ling. Thanks for pointing out my military type ignorances. ( you can go swing next time you want help with your Icao destination indicators!):D

Ufo's are real, the RAF are a Mirage!
