Poland is a member of JAA so your licence should be JAA approved. That means it will be accepted across Europe "without formalities".

Agree with you about the food and women!:ok:

JAA Website (http://www.jaa.nl/index.html)
JAA Members list (http://www.jaa.nl/introduction/Annex1-JAAMemberStates-April2005.pdf)
The Civil Aviation Office of the Republic of Poland (http://www.ulc.gov.pl/index_1.php?dzial=wiadomosci&plik=cao_eng)

Mercenary Pilot - It's probably worth checking the links that you provide before making such sweeping statements. A cursory check of the JAA website reveals that Poland has not achieved a recommendation for mutual recognition and, therefore, its licences will not be accepted by the rest of the JAA.

Licences issued by Poland have the same status as any other licence issued in accordance with ICAO Annex 1 but are not JAA licences. This is the relevant link (http://www.jaa.nl/licensing/licensing_overview.html)

JAA audit in Poland begun at the beginning of November, so far no news on the outcome. Where do you want to train? Most of the training organizations use grass airfields for training, it could get quite muddy at this time of the year.
Have fun in this great country, hope you will enjoy.

Serious question: what is the benefit of being in JAA?

Apart from the really obvious commercial motivation of enabling Poland to set up an aircraft registry which accepts FAA licenses and ratings, for use in Polish reg planes, and with no restrictions on ownership and where they are normally parked :O
