Hi all!

How many captains and first officers does your company have for each type of aircraft?

Probably varies widely. I've worked places where there were 3 crews/acft and where there were 5-7 per.

Impossible question, I'm afraid, md - you will need to tell us a bit more about your query. Some airlines run 24/7, others less, therefore crew ratio varies. Some run 'fat' and some run 'thin'. Answers would be meaningless.

Answer 1-7 crew per a/c. See?

@md-100

short-/medium range - (approx 4-5 is a "healthy" factor)

long-range - (guess 8-12)

this figures as a rough guideline only! vary on which kind of ops, as already mentioned.

It also depends on whether or not the operator chooses to have all "reserve" crews end the month with flight time actually flown that matches their monthly "guarantee."
