Bedford Castle Mill

Does anyone know if Castle Mill airfield near Bedford still exists? Having trouble finding out any specific details, but have a relative that lives nearby so it would be rather convenient to use!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!:ok: :D

I believe, although by no means certain, that the chap who owned it died a year or so back. I am not sure if his wife still wanted it used but I think I know someone who may know.

I also think it gets very wet in the winter. Isn't it next to the river?

Its next to a narrow stretch of river, but I would probably only be looking to go in during the 'drier' months! Thanks for your help so far, vintage ATCO...any further info would be very gratefully received!:ok:

I overfly castle mill frequently and landed a glider there in 2001

for the last 3 years it has not looked landable for anything (dug up in parts and now building at the western end) so i suggest its a non starter - sorry
