what a lovely sound....to hear the call "Mustang Formation" - asking for a RIAB yesterday at EGSX. Anyone know where they came in from?

Not often one gets to see such a lovely pair of beauties!

'Janie' is Maurice Hammond's P51, based at Hardwick. 'Big Beautiful Doll' is Rob Davies' one from Woodchurch. Their two Harvards came in to North Weald in formation as well.

Nice surprise for the afternoon.

In that case, it must have been the Woodchurch one that beat up Headcorn's runway, in both directions, at about 3 or 4 yesterday afternoon.

Always nice to see him :)

It was a busy day for us in the tower on Saturday - fortunately we had a shift change just before the two Mustangs & two Harvards flew in, so I got to hear them from outside. Mmm.... :ok:

so busy in fact Aerbabe, that you didn't notice Saturday rolling into Sunday as they broadcast their arrival!

(or did they come to the field on Saturday too?)

I was lining up on 20 and departed just as they were arriving....

A-B, is it true the RSPB inspectors are coming to `check-out` the `Henhouse` and disinfect you `birds` twice a day ??????? :p
