296 and small airports?

Couldn't find this covered in previous posts so thought I'd ask...

Just got a Garmin 296 and I am finding it doesn't show smaller private airports on map page and i can't get it to find them w/the find function?

Examples: 0CL6 (Bohunk's Air Lancaster) near Palmdale

46CN (Crystal) Crystal Ca. Etc.

Is there a way to turn them on so they show up? Do you have to imort them manually?

Seems like it would be nice to know their down there in an emergency.

I have the 96C and a similar problem with small fields. Ashcroft near Winsford for example

The Jeppesen database is missing alot of stuff like that that is good for VFR use. There was a thread on the flyer forum where someone had come up with a whole bunch of stuff you could download to your Garmin 196/296 etc.. but dont remember specifics, it is something I would love to have for France, but this was for the UK - by the examples you give you are in the US ??
