I take it nobody at WestJet saw this comming ?

I had a nice chat with Tim during Stampede in July at the company beef'n'bean. No hint then of any desire to move on.

I wish him all the best !!!!

Also one of the founders of WestJet.

Yikes.
Must be some very important "personal" reason. I know WJ is going in a different direction from plan A these days. Maybe this is not the way Tim wants it to be. Clive wins again. Stock was below $10 for a while today. Hope it's just a glitch.

If you are leaving an important position in a company AND you are leaving on good terms you would have let the press know about it say 10:00 am on the day so it is early afternoon out east.
You don't quit at 20:00 .
He was very pissed for sure. That sends a message that things are not as together as we all may think.

I think it's more along the lines that he was asked to leave because he didn't agree with the board, on the further exapnsion of the company.
