This has PROBABLY been done to death in this forum, but here goes anyway........
I am an Australian pilot that is starting to reserch heavily and consider options of flying in Canada. My flying history and credentials are as follows (yes, almost straight out of my resume):

AIRSAFE - Dangerous Goods by air 2004
Cathay Pacific CRM / TEM Course 2004
Grade one instructor upgrade 2003
Australian Air Transport Pilot License 2003
Multi Engine Training Approval 2002
Instrument Rating Training Approval 2001
Tail wheel Training Approval 2001

My questions are as follows, and I would be greatly appreciating if someone can take some time out and point me in the right direction and offer some advice. I am not after the BEST paying job, flying the LARGEST aircraft - I am simply after a plan to get into Canada, start flying a turbo-prop, become established, get to know the Country and progress up the employment ranks into a corp jet or airline in the future.:
a) Licence conversion seems pretty straight forward and easy - is it really? Any hidden traps for the inexperienced to watch for?
b) what are the best sites to gather information on:
1) Pay scales and award wages in the aviation industry?
2) Airline employment sites?
3) the Canadian version of the "Yellow Pages Business Directory"?
4) a list of all the turbine and RPT / Airline companies there?
c) the major cities that have a LOTS of Corperate, Regional and major Airlines activity?
d) I am not one for sitting back and procrastinating - how do I best get around to see these companies, ie straight to the head office, and ask to see someone of importance, or try and get in the back door and try and meet and talk to the pilots before approaching the airline?
f)what are probably the most lucrative cities to visit and prospect for work?
g) am I over or underqualified for what I am trying to do.... if not, what companies should I be approaching (type of companies)
h) Is Feb - Mar the most lucrative time for job opportunities?
I) who is hiring?
J) anything else anyone can think of that will help me?
