Hi there,
Does anyone have any info about, or experience of, flying clubs near Prague? If so, I'd welcome some feedback.
I have a day in Prague coming up and it would be fun to fly something locally.
Many thanks

The only one near Prague I know of is located at Sazena airfield about 25km north of the city

I have not been there myself so can say how good they are though.

If you are here for more than a day and don't mind travelling a bit then there are also places in Brno, Moravská Třebová and Otrokovice (Zlin Aircraft) where could be worth looking at.

You could also try the Czech Aeroclub if you don't mind doing a bit of translating:

Enjoy!

Thanks for that - I was there just the other day and watched a Zlin 142 doing circuits on the short runway at Ruznye...
I definately like to try something local like the Aero45 or maybe a Zlin (I've flown a Zlin526F before though)

There is a superb aviation museum at the military base at Kbely and across the road from this is a grass airfield where there was a big club with a lot of aircraft to fly. I havent been there for quite a few years, but I understand its all still there. I was even able to get there on the bus from Prague city center for not much.
I seem to remember that Kbley is on the opposite side of the city to the main airfield.

M14P, if you do make it to one of the clubs then could you post some feedback on what it was like?

I've not had a chance to fly here yet but will definately try and fix that in the near future.
