Two killed in Galway plane crash

19 September 2005 15:00
A light aircraft has crashed outside Galway City, killing the two men on board.

It is understood the crash happened after the aircraft attempted an emergency landing at a cricket pitch near, Oranmore, shortly before 1pm this afternoon.

The plane was en route from Galway Airport to Belgium. It is thought it got into trouble just after take off.
