For a new radar simulator programme we need some current RAF callsigns. Where to search?

Thanks in advance.

There's a spotters book you can buy in most enthusiast type shops that lists them - can't rememerb what its call i'm afraid.

Try here

Aeroseek (http://home.worldonline.nl/~marconop/)

Click on 'callsigns' then 'UK' if it doesn't take you straight there.

Eurocontrol CHMI (if you work at an airport you should have access to it).
Enter any military aerodrome and query the flight list.
Voila! Lots of callsigns.
:ok:

I see the thread starter asked:

'For a new radar simulator programme we need some current RAF callsigns. Where to search'?

I would be quite careful using the link to the spotter's website as it lists Wessex HC2, F4s, Jet Provosts, Victors, Buccaneers and Nimrods from St Mawgan. Useful historically, but not much use for your new radar simulator!

Why not give CATCS at Shawbury a ring on 01939 250351 and ask for a list of the callsigns they use for their sims?

Check your PMs

Like "BUSBY" vs. "RIPPR" ;)

Thanks again for the help. Just what we needed.

"Ascot" is one RAF call sign.

I also have heard "Kitty and Kitty Hawk".

They are the only ones I know of. :ooh:

60 Squadron out of Benson used to use the callsign "Swallow 69"...

That one always used to raise a smile.
