Hi,

i'm at work at the moment and don't have my map but was wondering if anyone knows of any strips around Newport in South Wales.

Had banked on going to Bristol Filton but if there is a strip I could get into which is nearer that would be far easier!

If anyone knows of any contact details then PM me if you prefer.

thanks very much guys.

(when i get my own office the first thing on the wall will be an old half mil. map!)

p.s. flying a c182

Upfield farm looks close. 4nm SE of Newport. 05/23. 2 runways, same orientation, one grass, one tarmac 640m. Not been in there myself. Page 542 in Pooleys for when you get home.

Kemeys would be a bit tight for a C182. I'd recommend Upfield Farm, runway recently widened to 650 x 10m concrete, nice open approaches. Got my Pioneer based there at the moment (though it's moving to Kemeys soon)

I like to avoid the bigger places...

Any particular reason why?
