Hello everyone,

Just a quick question that I should probably know the answer to but don't want to get this wrong.

I'm due to fly out of Redhill for the first time this weekend and just wanted to check who I should speak to to Flight Information Service, heading west. I guess it would be London Information on 124.75 but due to the proximity to Gatwick is there anyone there I need to speak to?

Thanks for your help......

I would suggest that Gatwick Director would be a better bet than London as they will be able to give you a much fuller picture vis-a-vis other aircraft.
However, if you want to do things such as file an airbourne flight plan or get the wether somewhere then I expect you may get short shift at Gatwick.
They are busy but helpful.

As a general rule Gatwick do not want to work aircraft out of Redhill if they are remaining outside controlled airspace. If you are going west then Farnborough is the best bet (they are a LARS unit) and provide an excellent service.
